The recently launched Amerige Records is doing incredibly important work, so far focused on reissuing rare experimental music releases from the decades past on vinyl. We were thrilled to see that one of these is from long time Deathbomb artist tik///tik. Definitely check this miracle of a release out and the other releases on Amerige.
Amerige Records takes pride in reviving an overlooked classic, now reissued on vinyl and widely accessible for the first time. Originally distributed on cassette among friends in 2011, this remastered version by John Wiese marks the beginning of a long-term project aimed at reintroducing select out-of-print highlights from tik///tik’s catalog.
This 12-inch split record features tik///tik’s ‘KCPC’, an exhilarating journey encapsulating an eclectic array of influences distilled and broadcast over the cityscape, highlighting their mastery of sound cultivated through years within the Southern California DIY circuit.
The B-side introduces a rare appearance by Salt Swan, a brief collaboration between Valerie Martino (Unicorn Hard-On) and Kevin Cunningham. Their warped, avant-garde techno is designed to shake the skulls of Nashville’s jaded dive bar crowd. This split release is poised to ignite the imaginations of future psycho-pop connoisseurs.
