Jonathan Snipes' macabre score for 'Hauntology' teeters between a
sense of deathly stillness and autumnal chills - perfect not just for
Parker Brennon's latest film, but for setting the right atmosphere for
your spooky season listening. Playing with the anthology format of the
film, Snipes built his score for each segment around opera arias,
including Gounod's 'Faust' and Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'. By slowing
down tempos, changing keys, and completely new arrangements, Snipes
has created something foreboding from these important
works. Snipes is joined by vocalist and harpist Nailah Hunter, to help bring
this unique horror vision to life.
